Other Programs and Events
Join us every Friday from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm in the program room, located on the second floor of the museum, for our weekly craft club meetings. Bring along whatever supplies are required to make the craft of your choice and socialize with other talented individuals from the community. Admission for craft club is free of charge and we run it year-round.
Group Museum Tours
Group tours of adults and/or youth are very welcome. To have a tour planned specifically for your group, call the Manager/Curator to make arrangements. Groups are welcome to use our large public space for a meeting, then have a tour of the museum and/or a talk on some aspect of local history – maybe even the history of your group or organization! Refreshments can be arranged upon request; call the museum for pricing information.
Call the museum to arrange a private tour of the town for your group. Driving or walking tours can be arranged and topics and areas of interest can be discussed.
Bus tours can arrange for a guide to come on your tour bus to provide a one to one-and-one-half hour tour of the city and outlying areas.
Looking for a unique venue for your child’s party? The Museum offers party activities for $50. Additional fees will apply for parties over 8 children. We have a variety of activities and crafts to provide some unique entertainment for your children and their guests.
We can accommodate parties of up to 12 children from ages 5 to 12. Activities can be geared for different ages. Most programs last from 1 to 1 and 1/2 hours. After the chosen activity, the guests can move to the location of your choice for any party food or other activities.
Please book at least 3 weeks in advance. Dates are subject to availability of staff.
Some of the activities include: Gold Rush Treasure Hunt; Mystery of the Carnes Creek Nugget (a giant board game); a ghostly downtown heritage tour; crafts and other activities. We can customize the party around the interests of your children and their friends.
