Minoru Nakamura [1898 – 1982]

Masue Nakamura (nee Tsumura) [1907 – 1997]

Mihoko Robinson (nee Nakamura) [1937 – 2008]

Hozumi Takahashi (nee Nakamura) [unknown –  present]

Minoru Nakamura was born on July 3, 1898, in Japan. He was a fisherman employed by Nelson Brothers Cannery in Prince Rupert, BC. 

Masue (nee Tsumura) was born on November 8, 1907, in Wakayama-ken, Japan.

Minoru and Masue (nee Tsumura) married and had six children: Kazuyo (Japan), Noriko (Japan), Mihoko, Chizumi, and Hozumi. The family lived in Prince Rupert before moving to Revelstoke in 1945. They originally lived just south of the city limits, where they had a small farm. When the Columbia River valley was flooded due to the Hugh Keenleyside Dam at Castlegar, BC, they moved into town and lived at 812 East 8th Street.

Minoru Nakamura passed away in 1982. Masue passed away on July 2, 1997, in Revelstoke, at the age of 89.

Their daughter, Hozumi married Sho Takahashi and had a family. They lived in Revelstoke until 2007. The Takahashi family resided in Revelstoke for five generations. See the Takahashi Family profile for more.

Hozumi is still alive in Burnaby, BC, as of 2025.
