Research Policy and Fees
1. Fees will not be imposed for researchers doing their own research
on the premises. Archivists and volunteers will be available to assist
researchers but will not undertake the research on the researcher's behalf
unless specifically contracted to do so.
2. An archivist or volunteer will research information requested by a
client at the rate of $20 per hour. If the client wishes to set a maximum
time for research they must make this clear at the time of the request.
3. Photocopies and microfilm copies will be charged at the rate of .25
cents per copy. Archives staff will not make more than 20 copies unless
specifically asked to do so by the client.
4. When information needs to be mailed, a charge of $2 will be included
for mailing. If the information is required on a rush basis, additional
charges will be included for Express or Priority Post.
Image Reproduction Services
Photographic Reproductions of Revelstoke Museum & Archives photographs
are available at the following prices:
5 x 7: $ 7.00 (sepia - $ 9.00)
8 x 10: $ 10.00 (sepia - $ 12.50)
11 x 14: $ 16.00 (sepia - $ 20.00)
If a copy negative from which it is possible to produce a copy print is
not present in the Archives, an additional fee of $ 7.00 will be charged
to produce a copy negative. Once made, the copy negative becomes the property
of the Archives.
Out-of-town orders must be pre-paid.
Please allow 6 - 8 weeks for delivery.
Laser Reproductions of Revelstoke Museum & Archives
photographs are available at the following prices:
8 x 10 $ 5.00
11 x 17 $ 7.00
Please allow two days for local processing, and two weeks for out-of-town
delivery.
Scanned images of photographs can be provided at a maximum of 200 dpi
(dots per inch). Scan will be emailed to an address provided by the customer.

Charges for scanned copies: $10.00 per image
Provincial sales tax (7.5%) will be levied on all orders.
Postage must be paid for out-of-town deliveries.
Special orders may incur additional fees. Please consult archives staff
for estimates.

Payment of commercial use fees allows for one-time use as per signed
agreement. Further use of an image requires specific permission and payment
of additional fees.
